The ISC 240 insulation saw from Festool is ideally suited for precise and fast cuts thanks to its perfectly matched cutting set. With a stroke rate of 3000 min-¹, it is able to cleanly cut PUR insulation materials up to a thickness of 240 mm in addition to mineral or natural fibre insulation materials. The well-balanced design also makes longer applications possible, even in one-handed operation. The ability to change the cutting set without tools makes the ISC 240 even easier to use. The adapter supplied also makes the saw compatible with guide rails.

Ich habe die Festool Dämmstoffsäge ausgiebig getestet und bin leider sehr enttäuscht. Zwar funktioniert sie gut für weiche Dämmstoffe wie Glaswolle, jedoch für Holzfaserweichplatten wie Steico Flex 036 ist sie nicht wirklich zu gebrauchen.
Das Messer lässt sich nicht wie in der Beschreibung beschrieben einstellen und trotzdem erreicht man nicht die benötigte Überdeckung des beweglichen Messers. Dadurch ist es nicht möglich, das Messer nachzuschärfen, was bei regelmäßiger Nutzung unumgänglich ist. Nach gerade mal 20m² Dämmung ist das Messer bereits so stumpf, dass man kaum noch damit schneiden kann. Das bedeutet, zusätzliche Ausgaben für teure Sägeblätter.
Der Festool Support war leider auch keine Hilfe und meinte nur, dass alles richtig sei und die Säge so funktionieren müsse. Ich kann daher nur davon abraten, diese Säge zu kaufen, wenn man Holzfaserweichplatten von Steico verarbeiten möchte. Es ist möglich, dass die Säge für andere Materialien besser geeignet ist, jedoch kann ich dazu keine Aussage treffen.
Insgesamt bin ich sehr enttäuscht von der Festool Dämmstoffsäge und bereue den Kauf. Leider kann ich sie aufgrund meiner ausführlichen Tests nicht mehr zurücksenden.
