- Application recommendation: Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface. Increasing the contact pressure results in a slightly coarser surface. The softer the material to be processed, the coarser the surface (when using , An increase in the removal rate should be achieved by using a coarser grit size and not by increasing the contact pressure in order to prevent unnecessary tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece.
