Product Description:
The FS 800/2 is an 800 mm long guide rail from Festool that is suitable for hand-held and plunge-cut circular saws. The guide jaws of the plunge-cut circular saws can be adjusted without tools, guaranteeing backlash-free guidance. A rubber lip directly on the scribe prevents the edges from tearing out, even when making angled cuts. Angles can be easily transferred from the workpiece or wall using a combination jig for the guide rail, and there is a guide stop for routers for precise grooves. The rail allows the machine to be guided safely and straight as a die. Thanks to an adhesive pad, the rail can be easily positioned on smooth materials and also protects the workpiece surface from damage. A slide pad on the rail makes it easier to run the machine. The Festool quick-release clamp is suitable for clamping and positioning the FS, FS/2 and GRP/2 guide rails. The well thought-out alternative to fastening with screw clamps is highly effective and saves labour. The clamping jaw and the quick-release clamp are inserted into the guide rail from below and held firmly with the clamping mechanism. The rubberised surfaces also ensure optimum grip. The guide rail therefore sits extremely firmly and does not slip. The comfortable pistol grip allows it to be released in a fraction of a second, simply by releasing the spring mechanism. To summarise, it is a time-saving alternative and almost unbeatable to conventional screw clamps in terms of cost and time savings.
